Springtime Snow

A cold Arctic air mass in Springtime produces granular snow / small hail enough to accumulate on the leaves of the newly opening rhododendron flowers. Moments later, the sun pokes through a hole in the clouds and melts most of it but the shade cast by the flower bud preserves some long enough to capture this image.
