Holiday Lights

Whether you celebrate the season for its inherent beauty, or you project on it some religious significance, winter is indeed a special time of year. Festive decorations adorn many a house. At night, with snow blanketing eveything and reflecting the colored lights, this takes on a magical quality.

More Springtime Snow

Snow continued to fall overnight, accumulating do a depth of about an inch, coating the spring flowers with crystals. The morning sun revealed nature's gentle touch.

Springtime Snow


A cold Arctic air mass in Springtime produces granular snow / small hail enough to accumulate on the leaves of the newly opening rhododendron flowers. Moments later, the sun pokes through a hole in the clouds and melts most of it but the shade cast by the flower bud preserves some long enough to capture this image.
